What is FarmTrade.com?
FarmTrade.com is the first and only online trading floor for agricultural chemicals. Buyers save 20% or more on chemical purchases when using FarmTrade’s patented technology and Name Your Price trading method. Licensed sellers expand their market reach by offering herbicides, insecticides, fungicides, adjuvants, and more directly to buyers via NYP listings. All chemical prices offered include delivery cost to the buyer.
What kind of fee does FarmTrade.com charge?
There is no fee for buyers to use or purchase from FarmTrade.com. Sellers pay a fee on successfully completed transactions.
What is a Name Your Price listing?
A Name Your Price listing (or reverse auction) is where a buyer lists the product he wants to buy and allows potential sellers to bid for the business. This feature allows buyers to list the products they want at a given price and for a given quantity. Sellers who are willing to meet the asking price and quantity win the business immediately upon bidding. If a potential seller wants to offer a price higher than the asking price, he may enter that offer, which will be recorded and shown on the site, but it will not constitute a sale. The buyer may accept individual offers which exceed his initial price without raising it for all sellers. In any case, a sale is made only when the asking and offering price meet.
If the product purchased does not perform as I expected, will the manufacturer still stand behind it?
Product performance complaints are handled by the manufacturer. Although we recognize that sales reps prefer to receive credit for sales they service in their territories, the basic intent of manufacturers is to ensure that their customers are satisfied with their product. What if I forget my password?
From the logon page, go to the Forgot My Password link and enter your email address. Your password will be emailed to you. If you do not receive your password within a few minutes, please contact us.
What if there is something wrong with the product?
The seller must confirm the product’s condition and regulatory compliance prior to trading. However, the buyer should inspect the product at the time of delivery and indicate any problems on the delivery paperwork with the driver. In addition, the buyer has 48 hours to report any problems before FarmTrade.com releases the payment to the seller. If there are any product issues, shortages, or damage, FarmTrade.com will hold the funds until the issue is resolved if notified within the 48-hour grace period.
How do I know my financial information is secure on the FarmTrade.com site?
Security is furnished through the use of Secured Socket Layers and numerous other security measures, which provide encryption protection for all banking transactions and data used on the site. These types of protections are used successfully for millions of transactions on the web each day.
What payment options are available on the FarmTrade.com site?
There are currently several payment options available on the FarmTrade.com site. These options include:
- ACH (Automated Clearing House) Electronic Checking (Processing time – 4 days)
- Bank Wire Transfer
- Visa and Mastercard
- Mail a check (delivery times will be affected)

How do I know the freight costs?
Freight costs are included in any offer you receive on FarmTrade.com.
How do I know if I have any Name Your Price offers?
All offers will be sent to you by email. Offers can also be viewed at FarmTrade.com by clicking on the “My NYP Listings” link on the Buy page.
What if I don't receive any Name Your Price offers?
If you don’t receive any offers, chances are your asking price is too low — remember to be realistic when listing the delivered price you are willing to pay. Many buyers list a price that is 10–20% below retail prices. If you think the price you listed is too low, you can raise your price by updating your listing. While updating the listing, you can also increase the volume desired and the length of time you want this listing open. Simply click the “edit listing” button and make the changes that you want.
